Valued Stay Aloha

I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed at this motel. It is VERY CLEAN! The room did not feel crowded with a very comfy king sized bed & 5 comfy pillows. The heater/AC appeared to be quite new & the room was comfortable. Very fluffy towels & the best shower pressure I've ever experienced in the bathroom. Being an older single woman I felt very safe there. I would definitely recommend it.

The amount of stars on Google at the time of this review didn't accurately reflect the decency of this location. And the guy who copied and pasted an entire garbage ChatGPT response bothered me. It's a perfectly fine place to stay and the beds are comfortable. There was no carpet anywhere and the pool was indeed a storage place for remodeling and construction stuff. The price was great for being close to downtown if you're just looking for a place to stay for the night and don't need a bunch of amenities. The air conditioner is loud so the fan mode was perfect for white noise enjoyers. The front desk ladies were also very nice.

I enjoyed my stay at this location. The staff was very accommodating and helpful especially i helping me with booking through Expedia. We got the issue resolved. The space was clean, the bed was comfy, they had a nice fridge, and looking forward to staying at this place again, once the pool is complete from renovations. The plus side was that there was a bus stop right next to the hotel

Easily the best value in town. The rooms are the most comfortable I've ever seen, and that includes luxury resorts. (Think Kalahari, Wis Dells) I wish they kept up with maintenance, though. A pool would be awesome. Also, the front desk isn't open until 10am, which is inconvenient. The staff is very helpful. They helped me book another night after my business ran into the weekend, and even gave me the same discount they gave me earlier. I guess they really like the additional traffic from postal academy at the Madison post office. If I'm in the area again, I'll stay here.

Great place to stay in the middle of a cool neighborhood in Madison. It's worth the price. Clean and the usual amenities. The gal at the front desk was super nice and accommodating. I'll be staying again in the future.

Don’t let the old reviews from what appears to be previous ownership, nor the exterior, deter you from staying here. I was worried when we pulled in, but they are updating everything. The inside is completely remodeled. It is CLEAN. The owner is lovely and accommodating. She was very well put together so I know she’s paying attention to details. It’s an older building but is freshened up. The rooms are updated, have a fridge and microwave with modern furnishings and bedding. Did I mention that it is CLEAN? That’s what is most important to me in economy stays. Water is hot, breakfast provided of hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, toast, pastries and fresh fruit, set up in clean and organized room off the lobby with ample seating. The pool is under renovation and was an unexpected feature for a hotel in this price range. Once the exterior and signage are updated, the boutique feel will be complete. Excellent value. Great location just a straight shot down to the Capitol, campus and State Street. Entire neighborhood is going through upgrades. Plenty of dining options close by.

I stayed here for one night a couple of weeks ago. I think it’s a quaint little hotel, and overall I had a pleasant experience. Before booking, I saw the mixed reviews, so I went in cautiously—I brought my own towel, soap, shampoo, and conditioner just in case. It turned out that most of that wasn’t necessary: The bathroom had clean towels, soap, body wash, and shampoo (though no conditioner). When I first arrived, there was a sign on the front door saying to call a phone number for check-in, which was a bit confusing at first—I later found out that only applies after hours when the door is locked. The staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful once I got inside. It looked like the hotel was wrapping up some renovations. The pool was out of service, but that didn’t bother me since I hadn’t planned to swim. My room was clean and included a microwave and mini-fridge, which is always nice to have (I've been to far more expensive hotels that didn't even have those). I also appreciated the clearly-marked envelope for leaving a housekeeping tip—I wish more hotels did that. The free breakfast was very minimal. There was even a sign in the breakfast area that said something along the lines of, “Be our guest, but don’t expect much,” which I found both amusing and a little unprofessional. All in all, the Valued Stay Aloha is a modest but decent place to stay for a night or two, especially if you manage your expectations.

Just was passing through Wisconsin & found this place. Such a cute & quaint spot! The negative reviews almost deterred me but I’m happy I came here! The front desk lady was super nice & helpful! My room was super clean! The king size bed was SO COMFORTABLE!! Like 5/6 pillows. Mini fridge/microwave. SMART tv with Netflix etc. Bathroom was clean with fresh new linen. A full size body mirror. Overall 10/10 stay! Give them a try! You can see the efforts!
